I Chose Me First. 💯🖤

Some people will call it selfish when you finally stop sacrificing yourself to keep everybody else comfortable. 💯

But truth is…

half the strength you see in me was built from surviving things I never deserved in the first place.

Every lesson matured me.

Every betrayal woke me up.

Every setback forced me to choose ME harder than before. 🖤

I don’t regret becoming harder to break.

I regret the years I thought putting myself last was love.

Choosing yourself ain’t arrogance…

it’s survival. 🔥

... Read moreOver the years, I've come to realize that prioritizing yourself is one of the most powerful decisions you can make. It’s not about being selfish - it’s about survival and reclaiming your energy. When you constantly sacrifice your happiness and well-being for others, especially people who wouldn't sacrifice the same for you, it eventually takes a toll on your mental and emotional health. From my experience, every betrayal and setback serves as a wake-up call, teaching valuable lessons about self-respect and boundaries. These moments of hardship aren’t just obstacles; they’re opportunities for growth. Choosing myself first helped me build a resilience that I never thought possible. I stopped confusing self-neglect with love and learned that true love starts with honoring my own needs. The strength I have today is the direct result of those tough moments. When you consistently put yourself last, you’re teaching people how to treat you. But when you choose yourself first, you set a standard for how you want to be treated. It’s an act of courage that often feels uncomfortable at first but is necessary for genuine healing and inner peace. Protecting your peace isn’t arrogance — it’s a survival skill. It means tuning out negativity, setting healthy boundaries, and refusing to lose yourself in obligations that drain your spirit. For anyone struggling with putting themselves first, know that it’s a journey worth taking. It’s about embracing your worth, healing old wounds, and stepping into your true power. Choosing you is the ultimate act of self-love and growth.

I chose myself
For almost 9 years, I kept choosing him. No matter what he did, I stayed. Every apology felt sincere. There were so many highs… and just as many devastating lows. Even when I knew I should leave, I couldn’t. That’s what a trauma bond does. In the beginning, he was everything I thought I
