The dove is not our bird.
The bird pictured is the Java dove, or Zebra Dove (scientific name: Geopelia striata).
Information on the Java dove:
Species Characteristics 🐱:: It is a small bird with a gray-brown body with black cross-stripes on its neck, back, wings and body sides, resembling the stripes of a zebra.
Size: At maturity, the size is about 21 centimeters.
Habitat and Behavior: Prefers to live along sheer forests, scrublands, mangroves, and farmland, often in pairs or alone, prefers to feed on the ground.
Diet: Eat small insects, thus controlling insect pests.
Vocal: Often screams, especially in the morning and evening hours.
