Beyond history, Black culture has profoundly influenced the world—from music genres like rock ’n’ roll and country to inventions that shape our everyday lives, such as elevator technology and essential safety gear. Recognizing these contributions helps me appreciate the rich, global impact of Black creativity and innovation. One of the personal joys I celebrate is my melanated skin, which not only connects me to my heritage but also lends me a youthful glow that I cherish. Our unique physical attributes, including natural athleticism and diverse talents, are gifts I've come to appreciate more over time. Embracing these qualities boosts confidence and encourages self-love. Participating in Black History Month online with the global Black community fosters a strong sense of belonging and shared celebration.
