New project!
After a long day of work, I find 3D printing to be not just relaxing but also a powerful way to bring digital ideas into the physical world. Recently, I started a project to create full 3D printed models representing follower or subscriber accounts from popular social media platforms such as YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram. The goal is to craft authentic, tangible versions of online follower counts that can be visually displayed on a dedicated shelf among my printers. One exciting aspect of this project is exploring how to automate the process of generating such 3D models. Some builders have developed solutions that plug followers’ data into a computer to auto-generate custom designs. I am interested in finding or creating designs that can reflect updates dynamically or at least make each model visually unique and representative of real account stats. If you’re a fellow 3D printing enthusiast or a designer with experience creating similar social media-inspired prints, collaboration would be fantastic. Custom filament selection, model scale, and the shelf display design are all elements I’m experimenting with to ensure a vibrant, eye-catching presentation. This project not only enhances my workspace but also creates an engaging conversation starter about the intersection of digital influence and physical creativity. If you have ideas or designs to share, or tips on filament types that yield the best finish, please connect! This endeavor highlights how 3D printing can personalize and celebrate community milestones in a tangible way, bringing social media achievements into the real world.
