Wellness Habits, or morning HABITS to find out who i think i am??????

🧘 Habit 1: reading in the morning. “Marcus Aurelius Meditations” & other books. Also, i have structured my own mornings, which gives me a sense of control in a life that feels extremely chaotic.

🧘 How It Helps Me: I’m not doom scrolling and watching and scoffing at “morning routines.” It turned out, #morningrituals vlogs/reels were actually a source of suffering and misery. #stopscrolling , or doom scrolling took over my mornings, and made me scoff and mock creators depicting this flawless life that was absent of any kind of suffering … behind the luxury background, granite countertops, what appeared to be perfect transitions seemed like they had it perfect. The skincare routine was flawless????? Ummm, let’s be REAL- EVERYONE SUFFERS. But behind the curated edits and filters, there was .. emptiness? Thus, stopping my past toxic morning routine where i was insta doom scrolling, and just by stopping, I became much less miserable.

🧘 Habit 2: reading #generationanxiety , which totally changed my life and how I viewed our generation. The kids and adolescence who had smart phones introduced to me to the damage it has caused all of us. It also showed me how comparison is in our nature, and social media worsens it. Comparison is literally the cause of most mental anguish.

🧘 How It Helps Me: It allows me to be #empathetic towards people on all platforms. Understanding the introduction of the smart phone, social media, the like button, common practice to compare one another

🧘 Habit 3: Ironically, establishing a healthy morning check list for myself. Found out that having things to complete, & by completing tasks actually helps your brain out. It provides you with that extra dopanine you need.

🧘 How It Helps Me: Although, my morning routine is not as posh and on brand (as other social media creators), it has provided me with structure. And you learn that your brain thrives on structure. Yes, i do exercise, journal (not a gratitude journal), because the thought of writing a list of everything that I am “grateful for” repulses me. Move my body. And yes, i wash mt face (have skincare routine.) Will i post it for everyone to see on social media? Absolutely not. No way. But #structure has given me a sense of control that i didnt have before.

By prioritizing our mental health and creating a morning ritual that truly resonates with our values, we can navigate life with a greater sense of control and fulfillment.
