🫡look high maintenance while doing the least🌟
You’ve probably seen the trend“high maintenance things i do to stay low maintenance” but here’s the thing, a lot of us don't exactly have the time/monetary means to consistently do high maintenance things🥱
Taking care of yourself properly doesn’t have to be complicated, expensive or exhausting. It's actually all about doing LESSER things that deliver REAL results for YOU. In fact, admin here realised the more I simplified my habits, the more put together I felt!
So this is my version: low maintenance things I do to look high maintenance — without burning myself out in the process🌟
☁️Only Taking What I Need☁️
Nothing wrong with taking supplements daily but with the wellness industry exploiting all of our deepest fears, it's easy to fall into the rabbit hole of purchasing everything you find relatable. However what you should ask yourself is, do you actually need that or are you getting it just because of FOMO? The truth is, most of the time we tend to just get trending products without even understanding what our body truly needs.
As I took the time to understand my body better, I started opting for more natural remedies as I want to truly nourish my body, the way nature intends for it to. Therefore for anyone on a similar path, I highly recommend giving our herbal teas a shot! They are crafted with thousands of years of TCM wisdom & contains absolutely no chemicals/additives. I rotate between blends depending on how I feel. On days I feel sluggish or low on energy, our VitaliTea supports me with that extra energy boost without overloading my body with caffeine. And when I’m feeling a bit heaty or want my skin to look a little more alive, I’ll go for Glow Elixir or Goddess Tea.
It’s a small habit, but over time, my digestion feels more settled, my energy feels more stable & my body just feels less overwhelmed.
☁️Sleep Is Not Optional☁️
I used to think I could sacrifice sleep and make up for it later. It was always 'half an hour more' or 'one more episode' etc but nothing replaces proper rest.
When i started sleeping earlier, even just slightly, I noticed that my skin looked less tired, I stopped waking up feeling as puffy and most importantly, my mood became more stable. Having a proper sleep schedule is one of those things that costs nothing, but changes everything.
☁️Supporting My Digestion☁️
I used to brush off bloating or discomfort after meals but now i see it as a feedback. Instead of fighting against it, I've learnt to work with my body & provide the gentle support it needs🫶🏼 On days my digestion feels off, i keep things simple by having lighter meals, something warm to sip on that's soothing on the gut and avoid heavy suppers. These honestly helps me reset without needing to fix anything drastic.
☁️Simplifying my routines
There was a time I thought doing more = better results. But trying to keep up with too many habits/trends at once just made everything inconsistent.
Now I only stick to a few things i know i can achieve such as drinking at least 2L of water daily, getting at least 6 hours of continued rest and exercising once a week. These targets may sound too easy for some people but its simplicity allowed me to be consistent & the benefits I reaped from them were way more than any intense routine ever did.
☁️Taking Care Of My Body Before It Crashes
Before the burnout, before the breakouts, before the fatigue. I'm not taking about going for fancy facials or massages. Even something as simple as slowing down when i feel overwhelmed or choosing something nourishing over something convenient makes everything feel easier in the long run.
I think we’ve been taught that self-care has to be effortful to be effective. But honestly? The most sustainable kind is the one that fits effortlessly into your life. Being/looking “high maintenance” isn’t about doing the most — it’s about doing the right things, consistently. And sometimes, the smallest habits end up doing the most✨
