GRWM 🍋✨
I like to do the light make up no make up look.
I don’t really use foundation or concealer like that, but I do use skin tint .
Because my skin didn’t look bad and it was hydrated. I only used highlight mascara, eyeliner /lipliner, lipgloss, and blush.
When I'm getting ready in the morning, my routine isn't just about makeup; it's also about feeling confident and put-together with my hair! Understanding your unique curly hair type is such a game-changer for a smooth start to your day. I often hear from friends and see questions about the different curly hair types out there and how to best care for them, especially when you're aiming for a quick, polished look or even incorporating a half wig into your style. It truly makes a difference in achieving a look where both your makeup and hair complement each other perfectly. Generally, curly hair types are categorized using a system from wavy (Type 2) to coily (Type 4), with sub-types A, B, and C indicating the tightness of the curl pattern. For instance, Type 2s have a loose S-shape, often appearing more wavy than truly curly. Type 3s feature defined spirals, ranging from loose loops (3A) to tight corkscrews (3C). Then there are Type 4s, which have very tight Z-pattern coils, often experiencing more shrinkage. Knowing your specific type helps you choose the right products and techniques that won't weigh down your curls or leave them frizzy. For a quick 'get ready with me' routine, especially on days when I'm focusing on a light makeup look, I find that moisture is key for healthy curls. After washing, a good leave-in conditioner is non-negotiable. Then, a light styling cream or gel can work wonders for definition without making your hair stiff. For Type 2 and 3 curls, the 'scrunching' method can enhance your natural waves and curls. For Type 4, focus on techniques like finger coiling or shingling to define those beautiful coils and minimize frizz. A quick diffused dry or even air drying while you do your makeup can save precious time. If you're using a half wig, like I sometimes do, it's a fantastic, versatile way to switch up your style or provide a protective layer for your natural hair underneath. The trick to a seamless look is ensuring the texture of your half wig blends well with your own natural hair type, especially around your hairline and crown. Before putting on your half wig, make sure your natural hair is well-moisturized and safely tucked away. A common tip is to moisturize your natural hair underneath the wig to prevent dryness and keep your scalp healthy. For blending, focusing on your natural edges with a bit of gel or edge control can make all the difference, creating a smooth transition. You can also use a bit of your own hair to lightly cover the track of the half wig for an even more undetectable finish. Whether you're embracing your gorgeous natural curls, trying out a new protective style with a half wig, or simply looking for an easy way to feel put-together, understanding and caring for your curly hair is an essential part of any 'get ready' routine. It helps you build confidence and ensures your whole look, from your makeup to your hair, shines beautifully as you step out the door!
