📖 Book Review: Wyn (Monstrous #3.5) by Lily Mayne💥
💀 MM Monster Romance • Low Angst • Steamy & Emotional
I just finished Wyn by Lily Mayne and I’m completely obsessed. This novella gives us Wyn’s side of the story, and it’s everything I didn’t know I needed. Seeing the world through his eyes — this ancient, powerful, scarred monster who’s still so vulnerable when it comes to Danny — absolutely broke and healed my heart at the same time.
💚 What I Loved
✨ Wyn himself – He’s terrifying and tender all at once. Getting his POV adds so much depth to his character.
✨ Wyn + Danny – Their relationship is pure devotion. The monster/human pairing works beautifully; it’s fierce, intimate, and full of heart.
✨ The world-building – We get glimpses of the monsters’ world and the post-apocalyptic landscape, which adds rich texture beyond the romance.
✨ Emotion + Heat – It’s steamy, yes, but also deeply emotional. The love and longing between them hit hard.
⚠️ A Few Notes
📘 This is a novella, so it’s shorter and best enjoyed if you’ve read the earlier books in the Monstrous series.
🔥 It’s explicit — monster anatomy and all — so know your comfort level.
🖤 The story is more about their bond and journey than a big action plot.
⭐ My Rating: ★★★★★
If you love monster romance with heart, loyal love, and characters who feel real despite their fangs and claws, this one’s for you. Wyn and Danny’s story is raw, tender, and unforgettable.
Perfect for: Fans of MM romance, found family, emotional slow burns, and monsters with soft hearts.
