My first state 4-H Camp!
I’ve been involved in 4-H ever since I was little. Unfortunately, my club disbanded when I was in elementary/middle school, and I never found another club I meshed with. Because of this, it was hard for me to be as involved in 4-H. I was still able to go to my county camp every year.
At county camp last year, I received a full scholarship to attend Older Members Conference—my first state camp and a literal dream come true.
I had the most fun time at Jackson’s Mill. It was great to see my friends from my county and experience what they always rave about. It was also so fun meeting new friends that I hope are in my life for a long time.

As summer approaches, more young individuals are encouraged to apply for scholarships to ensure that financial limitations do not hinder their access to these enriching programs. Engaging with nature and being part of a vibrant community, 4-H camps are formative experiences that shape the leaders of tomorrow.
