The atmosphere strikes a great balance – lively enough to feel energetic, but still cozy enough for good conversation. Now, let's talk about the food, because that’s where The Chimes East truly shines! We absolutely had to start with the Boudin Balls. If you're in Louisiana, these are practically a requirement, and theirs were perfectly crispy on the outside, savory and flavorful on the inside – a true taste of local cuisine. We also indulged in the Crabmeat-Stuffed Mushrooms, which were rich and decadent, a fantastic appetizer for sharing. Another standout was the Crawfish Fries – a generous portion piled high with seasoned crawfish, making for a delicious and unique twist on classic fries. The menu also boasts other tempting starters like Spinach & Artichoke Dip and various Char-Grilled Oysters (including Black Jack, Crab & Brie, and Shrimp & Corn options), which we're definitely trying next time! For mains, we explored some of their signature dishes. The Louisiana Alligator, whether blackened or fried, is a must-try for anyone looking for an authentic regional experience. It was cooked perfectly, tender and seasoned just right. The Seafood Pasta was another winner, packed with fresh ingredients and a creamy, flavorful sauce. If you’re a fan of comfort food, their Red Beans & Rice With Sausage is hearty and delicious, though I secretly wished it came with cornbread instead of a roll (just a personal preference!). We also saw tables enjoying the Bacon Wrapped BBQ Shrimp & Jambalaya, which looked incredible and is now high on my list for our next visit. Beyond the food, their DRAFT BEER selection is impressive, and overall, the drink menu is extensive, offering something for everyone, whether you prefer cocktails or a cold brew. We really enjoyed ourselves, and the service was top-notch, making the whole dining experience even better.
