My last crying video on TT for a while. 🤦🏼♀️❤️
For those following along on our IVF journey, our repeat biopsy showed that I still have some inflammation, which means a little more time on antibiotics. After that, we would need to wait for a new cycle and repeat the original ultrasound to make sure everything is ready for transfer.
After so many delays, we were incredibly close to the finish line. Unfortunately, with our summer trip right around the corner, our doctor felt the best decision was to wait and transfer little embryo #5 after we return.
I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t disappointed. This journey has required more patience than I ever imagined, and every delay feels heavy. However, we trust our doctors, and trust that God’s timing is better than our own.
Instead of focusing on what isn’t happening yet, we’re going to focus on making memories with our kiddos as we head off on a summer adventure in July.
Fair warning: my content is about to shift from IVF updates to European vacation spam for a few weeks.
Thank you to everyone who has followed along, checked in on us, prayed for us, and cheered us on. We’ll be back with embryo #5 updates hopefully in August. 🤞🏻
Throughout our IVF journey, encountering inflammation after a biopsy is a challenge many face but isn’t often discussed openly. From my experience, inflammation can cause frustrating delays, pushing back transfer dates and shaking confidence. It’s crucial to remember that inflammation is your body’s way of signaling it needs time and healing before it can safely support an embryo. Managing this has meant a careful course of antibiotics and repeated ultrasounds to track progress. I found that staying informed, asking detailed questions, and understanding the process helped reduce the anxiety that comes with waiting. Each doctor’s visit and update, though sometimes disheartening, reminded me that patience is part of this journey. Personally, balancing the emotional weight of delays with normal life was another important lesson. Instead of letting frustration consume us, we shifted focus to creating cherished memories with our children and embracing our upcoming summer vacation. This kind of mental shift can provide the emotional resilience needed to sustain through unpredictable IVF timelines. Additionally, sharing our IVF updates publicly has fostered a supportive community. Receiving prayers and encouragement from others made the setbacks feel less isolating. It’s okay to have moments of vulnerability, like when I cried or broke down during recording, but focusing on hope and faith in timing helped maintain perspective. For anyone facing similar IVF inflammation setbacks, know that you are not alone. Trusting your medical team, giving your body the time it needs, and nurturing your emotional well-being are vital. Whether it's your first or repeat biopsy signaling a need to wait, each step brings you closer to the goal. Meanwhile, don’t hesitate to take breaks, find joy in daily life, and connect with others who understand the complexities of this journey.
