In my own experience, embracing self-love and making choices that honor our well-being are crucial steps toward overcoming challenges that material wealth alone cannot solve. This message is especially meaningful during Black History Month, a time to celebrate not only historical achievements but also the ongoing journey of self-empowerment and mental health awareness within the Black community. By choosing ourselves first—whether it’s setting boundaries, prioritizing mental health, or pursuing dreams—we build resilience that transcends financial success. This approach aligns with the spirit of honoring Black kings and queens whose legacies teach us that true strength comes from within.
