DNS Domain / Client?
DNS (Domain Name System), Domain Name and Client-Server Model are the key to making the Internet work as we see it today. Let's go through each part in an easy-to-understand way.
DNS and Domain Name
Domain Name is a website name that we type in a browser, such as google.com or facebook.com, a name that is easier for humans to remember than a number.
A DNS (Domain Name System) is a system that converts these Domain Names into IP Addresses, which are unique addresses of servers on the Internet (such as 142.250.199.14). It's like a phone book that converts Domain Names into IP Addresses.
Principles of work:
When you type www.example.com in the browser,
The browser will send a request to the DNS Server to ask for www.example.com IP Address.
The DNS Server will find and send that IP Address back to the browser.
The browser therefore uses that IP Address to connect to the correct server.
Client-Server Model
Client-Server Model is a basic form of communication on the Internet, with two sides of the device working together:
Client: is our device (computer, mobile) that sends requests for information or services.
Server: A computer that stores data and sends a response back on request.
Principles of work:
Client sends a request: You open an application or browser to access the website.
Server Processing: The Server receives requests, processes and prepares requested data.
Server sends a response: Server sends back data (such as HTML files, images) to Client.
Client Display: Client brings the received data to display on the screen for you.
Client-Server Model is the cornerstone of many applications and services on the Internet, such as websites, e-mail, and online games, which make communication systematic and efficient.
