BEST TRAVEL PILLOW EVER???

So let me preface this by saying I HATE HOTEL PILLOWS. I hate them so much they’re so soft so spineless. Usually I will roll a shirt and put it underneath for neck support.

I saw the very famous pillow brand T—— had a pillow like this too going for $120 and I totally wanted to buy it except $120 is super pricey so I came across this brand SLEEP SONG (shopee) and they claimed to have this pillow which is also similar and good like the other brand. It’s slightly bigger than the other brand though! I bought the REGULAR one.

Pros:

- comfortable (has regular and soft options, take your pick)

- washable - very important for me!!

- can be vacuum-packed flatter

- has a nice storage bag if you wanted to carry it up the plane for longer flights

Cons:

- is still bulky, you’ll have to live with that if you need a pillow like this

- is white??? I wanted a pillow in a darker shade. But you can just put any pillowcase on top of it to solve the problem

Read moreHaving personally tried multiple travel pillows over the years, I can confidently share that the SLEEP SONG travel pillow stands out for several reasons that might resonate with fellow frequent flyers. Firstly, the fact that it’s washable — the cover is removable thanks to a zip — means you can maintain cleanliness during your travels, which is crucial after long, sweaty flights. This feature alone sets it apart from many competitor pillows that aren’t as easy to clean. Vacuum-packability is another game changer. If you’re someone who despises bulky luggage, being able to flatten your pillow down to a size comparable to a sofa cushion really helps save space. It also means you can toss it in the overhead bin or under your seat without struggles. Comfort-wise, the option to choose between regular and soft versions is thoughtful. I opted for the regular, which supported my neck nicely without feeling too stiff or too mushy. It really helped reduce the usual neck strain I feel on long-haul flights. On the downside, it’s still somewhat bulky compared to a simple rolled-up shirt or inflatable pillow, so packing light travelers might find it a drawback. Also, the default white color might seem less ideal since it shows dirt easily, but using a colored pillowcase makes this a minor issue. Lastly, I've seen sleep coaches rate this pillow highly for improving sleep quality, which reinforces my personal experience — one night using it resulted in noticeably better rest and feeling more refreshed. In summary, the SLEEP SONG travel pillow is an excellent, affordable alternative if you’re serious about neck support and hygiene during travel but don’t want to pay exorbitant prices. Its blend of comfort, practicality, and thoughtful design elements like washing and vacuum packing make it a top travel essential in my book.
