🌸 Kindle | A Review

I have had my kindle for a while now, and while I DO still purchase physical books as well because of course I have to have trophies for my favorite books 🤣

I very much prefer to read on my kindle because of course I’m a kindle girlie 💅 but for other various reasons, and I very much think that a kindle is one of the best inventions out there 🙈

📚Ebooks - ebooks are way cheaper than physical books, most if not all of my books I get either free or $.99-$4.99, this is by far my favorite

Portability – I carry thousands of books in one lightweight device, perfect for travel or commutes.

🔍 Built-in Dictionary & Translation – I can tap any word to instantly see its definition or translation.

🔠 Adjustable Text – it has the capability to customize font size, style, and screen brightness to suit my comfort.

✏️ Highlighting & Notes – I can highlight text and add notes without marking up physical pages(which I absolutely cannot stand)

🌙 Night Reading – i can read in the dark with the built-in, adjustable backlight with no need to turn on the lights in the room

🔋 Battery Life – A single charge can last weeks, not just hours.

🌱 Eco-Friendly – Reduces paper use and eliminates shipping waste.

⚡ Instant Access – I can download books in seconds—no waiting or shipping required.

☁️ Cloud Syncing – probably my favorite besides the price, I can sync my progress across devices and pick up right where I left off on another device

... Read moreI've been asked quite a bit about my decision to lean into e-reading, especially since I mentioned still appreciating physical books. It's true, there's a certain charm to a beautifully bound book, but after years with my Kindle, I truly believe it's transformed my reading life for the better. Let me dive a bit deeper into why I often choose 'Kindle over Physical books' for my daily reads. Beyond the obvious portability and cost savings I talked about earlier, the sheer convenience is unparalleled. Think about traveling: instead of agonizing over which few books to pack, I have my entire library with me. This is where the 'Portability' aspect truly shines. And for someone like me who loves to highlight and make notes, doing it digitally means I'm not "ruining" a book, and I can easily export my notes later for review. Plus, that built-in dictionary? A lifesaver for expanding vocabulary without breaking my reading flow. Now, let's talk about some of those burning questions I've seen pop up, like 'Kindle Unlimited vs. [other services/options]'. While my article focuses on the device itself, many Kindle users also explore Kindle Unlimited, Amazon's subscription service. It's essentially a massive library where you can borrow up to 20 titles at a time from a specific selection of ebooks and audiobooks. For avid readers, especially those who devour new releases or enjoy trying different genres without committing to a purchase, it can be incredibly cost-effective. It's not for everyone – sometimes the newest blockbusters aren't included – but for discovering new authors or series, it’s fantastic value, often saving you a lot more than buying individual books, especially when combined with the already low prices of other ebooks. It's a great complement to owning a Kindle if you read a lot. Speaking of enhancing your Kindle experience, let's not forget about 'Kindle accessories'. When I first got my Paperwhite, I thought a case was just for protection. But oh, how wrong I was! A good case can make holding your Kindle more comfortable for long reading sessions, and many come with stands or magnetic closures that wake/sleep the device. Screen protectors are another must-have, especially if you're prone to tossing your Kindle into a bag with keys (speaking from experience!). I've also seen some really cute PopSockets or finger straps that attach to the back of the case, making one-handed reading much easier. These small additions truly elevate the comfort and longevity of your device, making it feel even more personal. Remember, 'No paper, ink, or shipping involved less environmental impact over time' – and keeping your device protected helps extend its life even further. Ultimately, whether you're a seasoned e-reader or just curious about making the switch, the Kindle offers a fantastic, versatile, and eco-conscious way to enjoy books. It really does make reading accessible anytime, anywhere, and often for a fraction of the cost.

When I realized I can read book on my phone I was hooked. Then I started having kids and seeing how they tear a book out the frame I said I’ll just stick to ebooks. I just bought me a kindle last week for my birthday and I’m hooked. So much that I bought me a kindle basic for my purse kindle
