Why Vampires’ setting are all nobles in the films?

I’ve watched a lot of vampire movies lately. However, I can’t seem to think of how vampires accumulate wealth with all the drawbacks to their existence. They can’t do business when EVERYONE else is. They can’t own a business or collect real paychecks and financing stuff cus it will make them look super suspicious since they don’t age. Like I know the easy answer is that all the powerful vampires had that power for 100s of years. But I want to know how they shifted to exist in a modern society, and how a new kindred with nothing to his name would be able to climb the ladder with all these restrictions.

... Read moreVampires are often depicted as wealthy, noble figures in films, but how do they maintain their fortunes in a modern world? Given their inability to age and engage in traditional business hours, they must rely on centuries of accumulated wealth and influence. These characters have typically existed long enough to adapt to societal changes, often integrating into the upper echelons of society through strategic investments, inheritance, or manipulation. Moreover, many vampire stories draw parallels with historical aristocracy, framing their characters as remnants of a bygone era, rich in culture but out of touch with the present. New vampires often face a daunting challenge of rising from obscurity while wrestling with the limitations imposed by their nature. Understanding these dynamics provides deeper insight into the broader themes of power, wealth, and identity in vampire narratives. The juxtaposition of the immortal longing for modernity against archaic traditions enriches the storylines and resonates with audiences, inviting them to ponder the complexities of survival and ambition in a world that constantly changes.

Count Dracula was rich because he was a count not because he was a vampire 😂
