Today, I speak his name with love, with strength, and with remembrance.
Though his life was taken far too soon—right in our home, in a moment no mother or family should ever have to endure—I stand today not broken, but standing. My daughter and I faced what many could not imagine… and yet, we are still here.
One day, I will finish telling his story—whether through my book or on my podcast—because his life, his memory, and our journey deserve to be heard. Not just for us, but for anyone who feels like giving up.
I know I am called to be a vessel… to help others find strength in the midst of pain.
Today, we celebrate what would have been his 41st birthday.

I have learned that while grief is deeply personal and unique, there are ways to find healing and keep their memory alive. Celebrating your child's birthday each year can be a powerful way to honor their life and the impact they had, no matter how brief their time was.
For me, speaking his name with love and remembrance brings strength even in the darkest moments. Sharing our story—whether through writing, podcasting, or conversations—helps me connect with others who may be struggling and reminds me that I am not alone in this journey. This process of storytelling can create a living legacy that inspires hope and resilience, turning trauma into a message of survival and love.
Activities like holding a celebration of life or simply gathering with family to share cherished memories have provided comfort and a sense of continuity. It’s important to allow yourself to feel all emotions without judgment and to seek support when needed, whether from friends, support groups, or professionals.
For anyone facing similar heartbreak, know that your sorrow is valid and your strength is real—even when it doesn’t feel that way. Through remembering and honoring our loved ones, we find a path forward that embraces both our pain and our resolve to live fully. The memories we hold will never fade, and by sharing these experiences, we empower others to keep going too.
Happy Heavenly Birthday 🙏🏼🎂🎁🎉🎊🎈🕊️
