I Got Readmitted 6 Days After Giving Birth

Preeclampsia is no joke. I had slightly elevated blood pressure towards the end of my pregnancy but I thought I was in the clear after giving birth. Little did I know I'd be back in the hospital 6 days later for postpartum preeclampsia. Here were some of my symptoms.

Postpartum preeclampsia usually occurs within a week to several weeks after giving birth, highlighting the importance of ongoing monitoring. Awareness and education about this condition can be life-saving for many women. It's essential for new mothers to talk to their healthcare providers, understand their body's signals, and not hesitate to return to the hospital should unusual symptoms arise. By sharing our stories, we can help raise awareness and support for those experiencing similar challenges, ensuring better health outcomes for mothers everywhere.
