Stuffed Bell Peppers 🫑🔥
Ingredients
5 bell peppers, halved & cleaned
1.5 lbs ground beef
1 hot sausage patty (Patton’s if you have it 😉)
1 lb shrimp, peeled & chopped 🍤
1 container crab meat
1 can chicken broth
Optional: diced ham or sausage for extra flavor
½ onion, finely chopped
½ bell pepper or 1 stalk celery, chopped
1 tbsp minced garlic
1½ sticks butter
½ bag bread crumbs
1 tbsp Slap Ya Mama (or favorite Cajun seasoning)
Easy Instructions
Prep the peppers: Cut peppers in half, remove seeds, and set aside
Start the flavor: Melt butter in a large pot. Add onion, celery (or bell pepper), and garlic. Cook until soft and fragrant
Add the goodness: Stir in ground beef, sausage, shrimp, crab, and any extras. Season well and cook until meat is done
Make it thick: Slowly add bread crumbs and chicken broth until thick like oatmeal
Stuff them: Fill each pepper half generously. Sprinkle extra breadcrumbs on top if you like
Bake: Cover and bake at 350°F for 25 minutes. Uncover, lower heat to 300°F, and bake 15 more minutes
