one of my favorite Utah parks :)

still one of my favorite national parks in Utah 😮‍💨🏜️

follow @teeseestheworld for more U.S. bucket list adventures and national park side quests ✌️

over 5 million people visit Zion every year, but only about half of them make it to Bryce Canyon National Park. tbh…I think they’re missing out 😌

sunrise here paints the hoodoos gold, and when night falls, the park just glitters. Bryce Canyon is an International Dark Sky Park, and getting to spend an evening with @brycecanyonstargazing was such a reminder of just how incredible our night skies can be 🌌

you might notice a bit of haze in the lower half of the starry night photo—we visited while nearby wildfires were affecting the area. definitely sobering to watch the smoke cover the skies in the distance…

even through the smoke, though, the stars still managed to shine through…just goes to show you how freaking beautiful and dark these skies really are.

save this for your next Utah road trip 🏜️

Bryce Canyon National Park
7/8 Edited to

... Read moreVisiting Bryce Canyon National Park was one of the most memorable experiences on my Utah adventure. Unlike the highly trafficked Zion National Park, Bryce Canyon offers a quieter, more intimate natural setting that lets you feel truly connected with nature. I remember waking up before dawn and hiking out to one of the viewpoints just in time for sunrise. Watching the hoodoos glow in golden light was like witnessing nature’s own masterpiece—an absolutely surreal sight that photographers dream of capturing. What makes Bryce Canyon truly special is its designation as an International Dark Sky Park. Having the chance to experience the night sky here was nothing short of magical. I joined a guided stargazing session where expert guides pointed out constellations and cosmic phenomena, making the stars feel accessible and awe-inspiring. Even with some haze from nearby wildfires, the night sky managed to dazzle, emphasizing just how pristine and precious these dark skies are. For those planning a trip, remember that Bryce is just a short drive from Zion, but offers an entirely different vibe. You can enjoy hiking along trails like the Navajo Loop, explore unique geological formations, and unwind without the crowds. Packing layers is essential for night visits, as temperatures can drop significantly after sunset. What’s more, visiting during wildfire season highlighted the impact environmental factors have on natural beauty. While the smoke cast a somber tone over the scenery, it also served as a reminder to appreciate and protect these spectacular landscapes. I would highly recommend adding Bryce Canyon to your Utah itinerary—not just as a side visit but as a destination that rivals any other National Park in the Southwest. Whether you're into photography, hiking, or stargazing, Bryce Canyon has a magnetic charm that truly captivates the soul. So next time you’re planning a Southwest road trip, don’t miss out on this overlooked gem. Bryce Canyon’s combination of unique geology, award-winning night skies, and peaceful atmosphere makes it a standout experience that stayed with me long after my visit.

my favorite national parks (UTAH)📍🏔️
All of these National parks were AMAZING!! -I would say though that Zion was VERY touristy, and hard to catch a photo without people in the background. Personally, I like to hit places less people travel too! Bryce canyon was definitely my favorite of the three, Arches being a close second!!!

📍Must visit park in Utah
📍Quail Creek State Park sits in Hurricane, Utah and is not far from Zion National Park. It’s a great place to cool off in the summer or makes a quiet and peaceful spot to camp in the winter months! It’s also a great place to fish, especially in the colder winter months when the water is colder.
