Church Notes!
Are you hungry for a change?
Church this weekend spoke deeply about offenses and hurts. What we’ve been through and how others have wounded us. But the real question was, what did we do with that hurt? Did we allow it to take root? And did we unknowingly pass it on to our children?
It made us reflect on how we speak to our children, our family, and our friends. What are they seeing in us? What are they hearing from us? Are our children bearing fruit from something they never experienced themselves, but instead from wounds we carried?
How often do our hurts turn into anger, bitterness, or resentment that spills over onto those who were never meant to carry it?
We talked about letting go of the past and choosing not to dwell there. When we allow painful experiences to define us, they can become our identity and dictate our emotional health for years to come. If offenses take root, they rob us of joy, healing, and everything God desires for us.
“Forget the former things.” God wants to do a NEW thing right now.
He is making a way where there seems to be no way, and I wholeheartedly believe that.
Be the change. God wants to do something in you today. Don’t let the past steal what God wants you to receive.
God has a plan for you and for me. 🙏✨
