SNOWY DAY IN NC ❄️

Gworlll i used to love playing in the snow as little girl , and as country girl my mama would take the snow in a cup and pour Red Syrup on it and call it a “snow cone “ 😅 now looking back I’m like wow , that snow was just one the ground. But ! It was amazing. Now as an adult i kind of dread the snow especially with driving through it to go work 🚗.

What’s a childhood memory you have, when the snow came ⛄️?

The tradition of making snow cones with flavored syrup on fresh snow has been a delightful memory for many children. In North Carolina, winter may bring both joy and challenges, particularly with driving conditions. As adults, our perspectives on snow can shift dramatically. While children eagerly await snowstorms for playtime, adults often worry about the practicality of navigating winter weather. It's crucial to embrace this nostalgia while also recognizing the beauty of nature in winter. Additionally, engaging in winter activities such as building snowmen, sledding, or simply enjoying the serene landscape can rekindle childhood joy. Moreover, sharing these memories with others enhances our collective experiences. Emphasizing the importance of community during snowy weather — whether through snowball fights or cozy gatherings — can transform the challenges of cold winters into cherished moments. As we reminisce, let’s inspire one another to create new snow day traditions that blend nostalgia with the present.
