Getting your very own Shiny Litwick, Lampent, and Chandelure in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet is totally doable without them! I recently completed this hunt myself, and I wanted to share my personal strategy to help you light up your collection. First things first, preparation is key. Before you even start hunting, make sure you've saved your game. This is crucial for resetting if things don't go as planned. Next, we need to talk about sandwiches! To significantly boost your chances without Herba Mystica, you'll want to 'Create your own sandwich' that grants 'Encounter Power: Ghost Lv. 2'. My go-to recipe involves specific ingredients, but you can experiment with what you have. A dependable non-Herba combination for Ghost Encounter Power Level 2 often uses ingredients like two Chorizos (the 'Choriao' from the deli!) or two Red Onions, paired with two Green Bell Peppers, and then boosted by 'Condiments' like Mayonnaise and Mustard. You can also play around with 'Red Bell Pepper' and 'Yellow Bell Pepper' by ensuring your sandwich has a good balance of salty and spicy flavors. Getting that level 2 Ghost Encounter Power is a game-changer for this hunt! Once your sandwich is ready, head to areas where Litwick naturally spawns in Paldea, such as Zapapico or around the Levincia Lighthouse. These are fantastic spots to find them. Keep an eye out for Mass Outbreaks, as these will give you a huge advantage. Once you're in your chosen location with your Ghost Encounter Power active, simply run around and defeat or despawn any non-shiny Litwick. If you don't see any shiny after about 30 minutes (or if your sandwich power wears off), save, make a new sandwich, and try again. Sometimes, if you're not seeing anything, it’s worth saving, closing the game, and restarting to reset the spawns. Now, for the evolution journey! Once you've caught your precious Shiny Litwick, the first step is leveling it up. My Litwick 'grew to Lv 41', and then, 'Congratulations! Your Litwick evolved into Lampent!' It’s always a heartwarming message to see. To complete the evolutionary line and get your magnificent Shiny Chandelure, you'll need one specific item: a 'Dusk Stone'. Simply use the 'Dusk Stone' on your Lampent, and boom! 'Congratulations! Your Lampent evolved into Chandelure!' Seeing that beautiful shiny Chandelure appear after all the effort makes it incredibly rewarding.
