When you’re an artist or the person who is interacting with the art, created by said artist, one can’t help but think to themselves: “Man! Who, what and where did this artist get their inspiration/ideas from? It’s so unique, so beautiful, so creative! Sure, other artists may done something similar, but this artist? This actor, dancer, singer, writer, filmmaker, cook, etc? They were just being themselves and really got creative with what they love and expressed it in such a powerful and special way!”
Don’t worry about being original because originality, in the grand scheme of things, doesn’t and never has existed. Why? Because the likelihood of you and several other people getting the same idea, believing it to be totally original, are high, if not extremely high!! But ya know what matters most? How you and the several other people execute the idea and/or concept, through one’s own mind, imagination and perspective, as long as you don’t steal and copy what’s already been done beat for beat that is! Because that ’s not being creative, it’s outright plagiarizing, especially if it’s AI generated! DON’T DO THAT! 😀🙃🤓
After all, some if not every teacher, especially when it comes to any form of art, didn’t say, “Be original!” but said, “Be creative!”
So, what are you waiting for? Get out there, get creative, and have a damn good time being creative!! 🤓🎨👨🏾🎨🖌️
Have a great and creative week everyone!!

... Read moreCreativity is an intrinsic part of human expression, transcending mere originality. Many consider creativity to be the ability to take existing ideas and present them in new, imaginative ways, reflecting personal experiences and perspectives. Historically, creativity has been linked to various forms of art—like painting, music, literature, and performance—where inspiration can be derived from daily life, emotions, and cultural contexts. Instead of chasing after originality, engage in artistic practices that resonate with you, allowing your unique voice to shine through.
Every artist faces the challenge of interpreting existing concepts while infusing their personal flair. This is where the beauty of creativity lies: in redefining ideas and crafting something that feels authentic. Teachers often encourage students not to seek originality, but rather to explore creativity that comes from within. By embracing your thoughts, feelings, and experiences, you can create art that feels genuine and meaningful.
Moreover, many successful artists highlight that some of their greatest inspirations come from collaboration and interaction with others, emphasizing that creativity can flourish in a connected community. By sharing ideas and techniques, you can grow as an artist while still maintaining individuality. Thus, it is crucial to cultivate an environment that encourages exploration and experimentation.
In this landscape of endless possibilities, remember: being creative is not about strict rules or comparisons; it’s about expressing yourself, having fun, and enjoying the creative journey! So, step out and unleash your inner artist! Whether you write, paint, sing, or cook, let your creativity flow and make your mark in the world.
