Unspoken stress doesn’t disappear.
It settles in your body.
It steals your sleep.
It drains your joy.
You don’t need another scroll tonight.
You need to exhale.
Say it.
Surrender it.
Sleep like someone who knows God is awake.
Comment “AMEN” if you’re releasing it this month.
Unspoken stress can be incredibly damaging, often more insidious than we realize because it accumulates quietly within us. From my own experience, holding onto stress without expressing it or addressing it directly led to restless nights and a constant feeling of overwhelm. It’s important to recognize that this unspoken tension doesn’t simply vanish—it lingers in our bodies, affecting our mental and physical health. What really helped me was embracing moments to simply pause and breathe deeply. When you say "I surrender this," it’s a powerful way to acknowledge your stress instead of ignoring it. Pairing this with faith or spiritual reassurance, such as the comforting thought that "God is awake," can foster a profound sense of peace. It’s like knowing that you’re not alone in your struggles and that there is a greater presence helping to hold your burdens. Incorporating a nighttime ritual focused on releasing stress has also been transformative. Instead of scrolling endlessly on my phone and feeding anxiety from news or social media, I set aside a few minutes to meditate or pray. This shift made falling asleep easier and my sleep more restorative. If you find yourself drained of joy or plagued by sleeplessness, consider surrendering your unspoken stress—say it aloud, write it down, or pray it out. Encouraging yourself and others to comment “AMEN” or share moments of release can build a supportive community focused on healing and mental wellness. Remember, releasing stress is not about ignoring problems but about finding refuge in mindful surrender and faith, allowing your body and mind to heal naturally, so you can wake up refreshed and full of hope.
