For the longest time, I didn’t even recognize myself anymore.

I was exhausted all the time, bloated no matter what I ate, snappy for no reason, and holding onto weight that wouldn’t move no matter how “perfectly” I tried.

I thought I just needed to work harder. Eat cleaner. Do more.

But the truth? My body wasn’t broken.

It was burnt out.

My cortisol was through the roof, my hormones were out of balance, and my body was doing the only thing it knew how to do — protect me.

When I finally slowed down, supported my cortisol, and gave my body what it actually needed to feel safe again — everything changed.

Supporting cortisol means prioritizing stress reduction and giving your body signals that it is safe again. Strategies that helped me included getting enough restful sleep, adopting gentle movement instead of intense overtraining, and nourishing my body with balanced meals rich in anti-inflammatory nutrients. This allowed my body to downregulate the stress response, reduce inflammation, and repair hormonal feedback loops. Healing hormone imbalance is not just about weight loss. It’s about restoring energy, reducing inflammation, calming mood swings, and feeling truly aligned with your body again.
