Always tired on bus?!

2025/11/25 Edited to

... Read moreAfter spending many bus rides feeling drowsy despite a good night's sleep, I started noticing some interesting environmental cues. It’s not just the gentle rocking or the hum of the engine. The air conditioning, combined with the quiet atmosphere and background Wi-Fi signals and electronic device emissions, seems to send subtle signals to our nervous system that induce relaxation and sleepiness. When I observed fellow passengers, many were streaming videos on their phones, using Bluetooth headsets, or charging devices—creating an invisible electronic environment. These low-level electromagnetic waves, combined with the recycled air in buses, can make some people feel more lethargic than usual. Interestingly, I found that the enclosed, climate-controlled space reduces sensory input and encourages a calming state, which can easily lead to falling asleep. The bus environment also offers a respite from outdoor noise and external distractions, allowing the brain to unwind quickly during the ride. From my personal experience, to stay more alert on buses, I try to expose myself to natural light before the ride, avoid heavy meals, and occasionally engage with stimulating music or podcasts. Being mindful of how our environment affects our energy can help manage this unexpected tiredness during commutes.

How do bus captains learn routes?
Hi zesties, this is my first post on the platform! 🍋 I’d like to share how bus captains like myself learn bus routes. Some of the senior captains I work with know more than 30 routes, which is honestly quite insane to me. I definitely aspire to reach that level one day. In this post, I’ll sha

If you are snoring & is always tired. Please read!
I thought being tired was normal & blamed motherhood. I woke up exhausted no matter how long I slept. I had brain fog, low energy, and constant burnout — but I told myself it was just life, work, motherhood, stress. No one really tells you this, but chronic tiredness isn’t a personality

travelled to sapa on a sleeper bus ⁉️
on my recent trip to sapa, i decided to try the sleeper bus as it was.. 🌟 cheaper than sleeper trains 🌟 provides more privacy as its a single cabin 🌟 drops you off in sapa instead of lao cai ❗️lao cai is 33km away from sapa and you’ll have to either take a car (50mins) or shuttle bus (70min

Got a friend that always pull you down ?
Took me years to learn this. Not every friend in your life is meant to stay. Some people come into your circle to grow with you. Some come to grow you, then leave. And some, honestly, are just there to slowly chip away at you while smiling. The hardest part is realising the people pulling you

Cold Drinks Might Be Why You’re Always Bloated

NEVER do THIS before your limousine bus...
I knew i was cooked the moment i settled down on the bus because my bladder was halfway full. As a small bladder girlie, I shouldn't consume large amount of water 30 mins before the bus ride 😢. There is no restroom break on the limousine bus and each ride takes about 1.5-2hour. I took the bus d

Always “The Strong One”?
We’ve all learned how to survive — to hold it all together, to be dependable, to show up no matter how tired we are. But somewhere along the way, survival started to look like self-neglect. We became the ones who fix, manage, plan, explain, and forgive — sometimes too quickly, too often, and at
