[ Day 6 of 31 ] Recovering homebody reporting live from outside 🤭
This is your reminder to go to the event, even if you’re going alone!
Growth, connection, and new opportunities usually happen when you actually get in the room.
@theebossbesties hosted & curated such a beautiful event for entrepreneurs. I’m sucker for attention to details for themed events and she did her TING okay! 💕
And can’t forget the decor by @envisionitexperience, they did such an amazing job! 👏🏾
Catch me at the next event! 👀

As someone who has often identified as more of an introvert or a homebody, I can totally relate to the initial discomfort of stepping into events alone. However, I learned that growth often begins at the edge of our comfort zones. When attending a recent entrepreneur networking event, I experienced firsthand how physical presence in a room filled with like-minded people changes the dynamic of connection and opportunity. The event was more than just a gathering; it was a thoughtfully curated experience with attention to themed decor and vibrant energy that made mingling easier and more inviting. This environment helped dissolve the typical awkwardness that many face when networking alone. I found that even small interactions, like striking up a conversation over cocktails or enjoying shared enthusiasm about the event details, helped me feel more connected and expanded beyond my usual boundaries. One key takeaway for me was the reminder that important shifts in both personal and professional life rarely happen in isolation. Being present, even when nervous, showed me doors I wouldn’t have expected to open. From learning something new with every conversation to leaving with a renewed sense of belonging, these moments are invaluable. If you’re hesitant about going to events solo, try giving yourself some mental preparation time, like hyping yourself up in the car or setting a small goal for the event. Often, just showing up is the first big step towards growth and meaningful connections. Remember, every great connection starts with being willing to show up and be seen, even if that means pushing past your comfort zone initially. So, next time there’s a local event or meetup for your industry or interests, don’t hesitate to join — even if it’s just you. The personal and professional growth you can gain by simply being there is truly worth it.
