Homemade Hamburger Buns

These soft, fluffy buns are so much better than store-bought and surprisingly easy to make!

Ingredients:

• 1 cup warm milk

• 2¼ tsp yeast

• 2 Tbsp sugar

• 1 egg

• 3 Tbsp softened butter

• 3½ cups bread flour

• 1¼ tsp salt

Directions:

1. Mix warm milk, yeast, and sugar. Let sit 5–10 minutes until foamy.

2. Add egg, butter, flour, and salt. Mix until combined.

3. Knead for 8–10 minutes until smooth.

4. Let rise until doubled, about 1–1½ hours.

5. Divide into 8 pieces and shape into balls. Flatten slightly and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.

6. Let rise again 45–60 minutes until puffy.

7. Brush with an egg wash (1 egg + 1 Tbsp water) and sprinkle with sesame seeds if desired.

8. Bake at 375°F for 15–18 minutes until golden brown.

9. Brush with melted butter while warm.
