This picture means more to me than weight loss.
It’s a reminder that every version of me deserved love.
The woman in the blue hoodie was carrying things nobody could see. Grief. Disappointment. Broken relationships. Anxiety. Loneliness. Unanswered prayers. The pressure of being strong when she wanted to fall apart.
And the woman in black?
She didn’t get here by hating her.
She got here by loving her.
By forgiving her for the mistakes she made while trying to survive.
By giving herself grace.
By getting back up when life knocked her down.
By refusing to quit on herself.
People see pounds lost.
I see battles won.
I see a woman who buried a son and kept living.
A woman who buried her mother and kept believing.
A woman who raised her children, carried her family, cried private tears, fought private wars, and still found a reason to smile.
If I could say anything to the woman in that blue hoodie, I would wrap my arms around her and say:
“You have no idea how strong you are.
You have no idea how beautiful you are.
And one day, you’re going to look back and realize you survived things that should have broken you.”
This isn’t a picture of two different women.
This is a picture of one woman learning to love herself at every stage of the journey.
And for that woman…
I’m proud of you.
Every single version of you.

This is too adorable I’m trying not to cry
