With all this violence as of late I believe society has forgotten what it is to love! So let me remind you what it means to love...to have love, to show love, to be loved! If you aren't religious that's fine I don't judge but I provided that definition, too. I have provided all definitions for love, romantic, platonic, self, communal... Save this so you don't forget just how important love truly is! It's not just a feeling it's also an action! As a society it is time we take action, and stop the hate, and start to love!

Love is often misunderstood as a mere feeling, but it truly encompasses deep commitment and meaningful action. Reflecting on the different types of love helps us appreciate its vast role in our lives. Romantic love combines passion and long-term commitment, while familial love fosters loyalty and care within families. Platonic love builds strong friendships based on mutual respect without romantic attachments, and self-love encourages us to value and accept ourselves fully. Unconditional love, or agape, symbolizes love given without expecting anything in return. This form of love is essential in communities as it promotes kindness and justice, encouraging us to serve others selflessly. Biblical teachings, such as Corinthians 13:4-7 and the command to "love your neighbor as yourself" (Mark 12:31), emphasize qualities like patience, kindness, and perseverance as foundations for love that transcends conflict and division. In today’s climate of increased violence and social tension, embracing love as an actionable choice rather than a passive emotion is vital. Showing love means actively choosing compassion over hate, standing up for others, forgiving grievances, and fostering trust and hope. It demands that we prioritize the well-being of others alongside our own and engage in efforts that support communal harmony. By recalling these definitions and examples of love, society can shift focus from conflict to connection. Practicing love openly invites stronger bonds, emotional healing, and the building of communities where everyone feels respected and valued. This reminder to cherish and practice love daily encourages kindness to flourish and hate to diminish, leading toward a gentler, more united world.
