Sledding with a large dog like a Bully breed can be an exhilarating experience, filled with both fun and unexpected challenges. From personal experience, pulling a sled uphill with a 90-pound dog requires patience and strength, as the weight and momentum can really surprise you. One memorable moment was when my dog, Haus, appeared to be "surfing" the sled, simply riding it out on slippery slopes which added a fun twist to the activity. To make sledding more enjoyable, it's helpful to have extra hands, especially on tricky hills. Having someone help balance the sled or guide the dog can prevent accidents, as we found out during a couple of "whoops" moments when things slipped out of control. Despite minor falls, sledding remains a great outdoor activity that strengthens the bond between you and your dog. It's important to consider your dog's safety and comfort during sledding outings. Make sure the sled is suitable for their size and the terrain, and always watch for signs of fatigue. Taking breaks and staying warm enhances the experience and keeps sledding fun for longer.
