When I started using AI tools like ChatGPT and Copilot to enhance my job search, I was amazed at how quickly I could identify relevant skills to highlight on my LinkedIn profile. Recruiters often use specific keyword searches rather than scrolling profiles, so having the right skills listed is crucial. I tried the prompt, “Suggest the top 50 LinkedIn skills I should list based on my experience and target roles,” and it generated a customized list perfectly aligned with my professional background and the roles I was aiming for. This helped me to tailor my profile more strategically, increasing visibility to recruiters. In addition to listing skills, it’s important to continuously update your LinkedIn profile and engage with industry-related content to boost your presence. AI tools are not only useful for skill extraction but also for crafting compelling summaries and cover letters that speak directly to employers’ needs. From my experience, combining AI-driven skill suggestions with proactive networking and consistent profile updates dramatically improves the chances of landing interviews.
