My greatest achievement in life will be knowing that I’ve raised a wonderful man that someone will be lucky to have as their partner. That is what being a “boy mom” means to me. It is our responsibility, as parents, to raise men that women feel safe around. Men that will stand up to misogyny. Men that we would want to have as partners. #raisegoodhumans #boymom
Raising boys today presents unique challenges but also incredible opportunities to nurture future men who embody respect, empathy, and accountability. From personal experience, the focus isn’t on raising “tough” boys but on cultivating good men—those who understand that consent matters and who inherently value others' boundaries. A powerful lesson I’ve learned as a parent is that teaching boys to apologize sincerely when they’ve hurt someone builds character and emotional intelligence. It shifts the conversation from punitive behavior correction to fostering genuine empathy. Additionally, dispelling harmful gender stereotypes at home can contribute to a safer, kinder environment for everyone. By emphasizing that respect and kindness are strengths, not weaknesses, boys grow up confident in standing against misogyny and injustice. This creates a foundation where women can feel safe and valued, knowing that the men around them uphold these core principles. Creating such an upbringing also means modeling accountability ourselves as parents. Boys learn by observing how adults handle mistakes and relationships. This holistic approach has been key in my parenting journey — focusing on raising accountable men who know that “no” is a full sentence and who never confuse control with love. Ultimately, being a “boy mom” to me means preparing my son to be a partner someone will cherish, highlighting the deep responsibility parents bear in shaping the men of tomorrow.
Thats exactly how I will raise my boys. They will all be good men
