Whale Fall (Invisible Legacy)

No. 3 The ocean that still lives.

We spend our whole lives trying to grab what's called "persistence," build a house to have shelter, build a reputation for people to remember, build property to pass on to later generations, as if we were afraid that one day, when the world leaves, everything will disappear with us.

But nature answered this question a long time ago. The whale never knew that after its last breath ended, there would be many more creatures waiting for its arrival below. It did not live to prepare for death. It only lived with a full heart. And when it came time to leave,

Its existence also continued to act quietly.

Humans themselves are no different. We never know if our one smile will help someone on the day he almost gives up. We never know if a sentence of ordinary speech will become the encouragement that someone keeps alive, and we never know how many times the small kindness we give today will grow into the compassion that passes from one person to another.

Some things can never be measured by numbers, like love that has never been shaped, like nostalgia without, but is strong enough to stay with us for the rest of our lives. Some people don't walk by our side anymore, but every time we laugh at the same thing, every time we accidentally say a familiar sentence, every time we decide to choose tenderness instead of anger.

We may be living with a part of that person. Unknowingly.

And then I understand that...Leaving a donkey is not that one person disappears from the world, but that he changes the way he exists.

From breath to Whale Fall.

Whale Fall is therefore not the story of just one whale.

But it is the story of all humans who will one day leave the world, too.

"How long will we live?" But is

"After we leave, in whose hearts shall there be our tenderness?"

Because ultimately, the most beautiful life may not be the life remembered by the world, but the life that nourishes someone's heart, even if its owner becomes a memory.
