God is always with you
Hey everyone! I wanted to share something deeply personal today that I know many of us have experienced. There have been times in my life when I've honestly asked myself, 'why can't I see or feel the Lord?' It's a question that can bring so much doubt and loneliness, making you feel isolated from your faith. In those moments, it felt like I just didn't know the answer, and sometimes, you may not even know the answer to the question of why God feels distant. But I've learned a powerful truth: the reality is that He is still there. Always. It's easy to get caught up in our daily stresses and feel disconnected. But the Bible is full of comforting verses that serve as constant reminders that God is truly with us, no matter what. Here are a few that have really resonated with me and helped me remember His unwavering presence: Deuteronomy 31:6: 'Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.' This verse is a cornerstone for me, a rock-solid promise. Psalm 23:4: 'Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.' It reminds me that even in the toughest times, I'm not walking alone. Matthew 28:20: 'And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.' Jesus' own words! A beautiful assurance that His presence isn't temporary. Isaiah 41:10: 'So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.' A powerful reminder of His active support. Romans 8:38-39: 'For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.' This just seals the deal for me – nothing can truly separate us. So, how do we actively stay in the presence of God and feel Him when our hearts are longing for that connection? It’s not always about a dramatic feeling; often, it’s in the quiet, consistent practices. Start with Honest Prayer: Don't feel like you need perfect words. Just talk to Him. Share your doubts, your joys, your frustrations. Sometimes, just articulating what's on your heart makes me feel closer. I often just say, 'Lord, I don't feel you right now, but I know you are still there.' Immerse Yourself in His Word: Reading the Bible isn't just about gaining knowledge; it's about encountering God. Pick a verse, meditate on it, let it speak to your spirit. This is where I often find answers when I feel like I don't know what to do. Worship Through Music: For me, worship music is a direct channel to His presence. It shifts my focus from my problems to His greatness. Try putting on some worship and just letting yourself be moved. Practice Gratitude: Taking a moment each day to list things I'm grateful for helps me see God's hand in the small, everyday blessings. It makes His presence tangible. Serve Others: When I step outside myself and help someone else, I often find God's presence there. Love in action is a powerful way to experience Him. Remember, even when you can't see or feel the Lord, or when you feel like you don't know why things are happening, He is still there. His presence isn't dependent on our feelings, but on His unchanging character. Keep seeking, keep trusting, and know that you are deeply loved and never truly alone.
