POV: My piano teacher regrets teaching me

POV: my Piano Teacher regrets teaching me 😂😂😂 Music students and pianists would love to see this music sheet playing in a different style and that is also improving my piano skills. my main goal is to practice easy piano songs by different composers like Beethoven, Chopin, Mozart, Liszt. #piano #pianomusic #pianocover #music #pianist

5/29 Edited to

... Read moreWhen I first started learning piano, I focused mainly on perfecting standard classical pieces as they were written. However, I soon realized that challenging myself to play these pieces in different styles gave me a deeper understanding of music and honed my creativity. For example, adapting Beethoven’s easy compositions into a jazz rhythm or adding expressive rubato to Chopin's melodies brought new life to the music and improved my technical control. One tool that helped me immensely was live feedback software like Deeppiano. It tracks my tempo and dynamics, showing scores such as “q=90” or “q=169,” which reflect my pacing and accuracy. This real-time feedback allowed me to experiment with different tempos confidently, knowing I could monitor how closely I followed the original score or my modified version. Practicing this way also surprised my piano teacher. Initially, they were concerned about deviating from traditional techniques. But over time, they saw how this approach boosted my skills, making me a more versatile pianist. I encourage other students to step out of their comfort zone by blending classical music with modern interpretations or styles. It’s a rewarding path that improves not only your piano abilities but also your musical expression and enjoyment. Exploring easy piano songs from renowned composers like Mozart and Liszt in various styles has expanded my repertoire and kept my practice sessions engaging. If you’re a pianist looking to innovate and grow, embracing alternative styles and using supportive tools can transform your learning experience and impress both your audience and teachers.
