Ice cream that won’t make you gain weight?

I say all the time I’m a snacker lol and ice cream was one of the hard things for me to give up 😭. But the sugar and calories that’s in this stuff nowadays is INSANE!!! You don’t have to give it up all together just find a better replacement.

Do you all check the labels 👀? You want to look for a brand with lower calories and low or no added sugar. Here are some of my favorites for you to checkout next time you’re in the grocery store.

For a long time, I thought my fitness journey meant completely cutting out delicious ice cream. The sugar and calorie counts in regular ice cream can be incredibly high, making it seem impossible to enjoy without derailing your progress. But I'm here to tell you, you absolutely don't have to give it up entirely! The secret is finding smart, low-calorie ice cream treats that satisfy your sweet tooth while keeping you on track. It’s all about finding those healthy ice cream for weight loss options. Over time, I've become a pro at scanning labels and trying out different brands to find the best guilt-free ice cream. You want to look for brands with significantly lower calories per serving and, crucially, low or no added sugar. This makes a huge difference when you're aiming for a calorie deficit ice cream option. Here are some of my personal go-to low-cal ice cream swaps that have become staples in my freezer, helping me indulge without the guilt: First up, Yasso Greek Yogurt Bars are fantastic! I've tried both the Strawberry Chocolate Crunch and Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough flavors, and they're both incredibly satisfying. What I love about Yasso is that you get that creamy texture and delicious flavor for only 100-140 calories per bar, plus a decent 4g of protein. The protein from the Greek yogurt really helps with satiety, making these a smart choice for a healthy ice cream alternative. Then there's GoodPop Strawberry popsicles. These are a lifesaver, especially on a hot day or when you just want something purely refreshing. They proudly state '100% FRUIT JUICE NO ADDED SUGAR!' which is exactly what I look for. With only natural fruit goodness, these are a light, fruity, and truly guilt-free treat that won't make you gain weight. Of course, I can't forget Halo Top ice cream. This brand revolutionized the 'ice cream you can eat on a diet' category. My favorite is the Chocolate Covered Strawberry flavor. The best part? You can enjoy an entire pint for just 330 calories, and it even packs 14g of protein! It tastes incredibly indulgent, yet it fits perfectly into a low calorie ice cream plan. And for my dairy-free friends or anyone looking for 'zero sugar added' options, the H-E-B Higher Harvest Non-Dairy Frozen Dessert (especially the Strawberry flavor) is a gem. It's labeled 'Zero Sugar Added' and has only 8g net carbs per pint, making it an excellent choice for managing sugar intake while still enjoying a delicious frozen treat. It’s definitely one of the best ice cream to eat on a diet if you have dietary restrictions. Beyond these specific picks, remember to always be a label detective. Look beyond just the calorie count; scrutinize the added sugars, fat content, and even protein or fiber, which can help keep you full. Many brands now use natural sugar alternatives like stevia or erythritol, which can help keep the calorie count down. Even with the healthiest ice cream to eat, portion control is still important. Enjoy your treats mindfully, savor every spoonful, and know that you can absolutely enjoy ice cream as part of a balanced and healthy lifestyle!
