Y’all loved my last post on swaps and I got a lot of good feedback so I will definitely continue to do them. Here’s another good list of some of my favorites swaps. I generally don’t eat pork at all anymore, unless I’m at somebody’s BBQ 😂. There’s so many different kind of chicken sausage there’s even a breakfast chicken sausage. Avocado and olive oil is so much easier on your gut and digestive system. Protein pasta is the only type of pasta I buy honestly, and it’s the perfect way to sneak in extra protein to hit your daily goal. I use my air fryer. Well, I actually have two but I use them on a daily basis multiple times a day. I love fried chicken and fish but it’s one of the things I probably only eat once every few months. I literally will air fry anything lol. 😂

My Midea air fryer has become my kitchen MVP! I literally air fry anything and everything now. The key is preheating, not overcrowding the basket, and giving things a good shake halfway through. It allows me to enjoy the texture and flavor of 'fried' foods with a fraction of the oil, contributing significantly to my fat reduction goals. It’s so much easier on my digestion, and honestly, the cleanup is usually a breeze compared to deep frying. Finally, let's talk about sausage. I used to love pork sausage, but since cutting it out, I've discovered a world of delicious alternatives. Chicken sausage is where it's at! There are so many varieties, from breakfast links to spicy Italian styles. The H-E-B Queso Poblano chicken sausage is a current favorite of mine – it adds so much flavor to dishes without the heavier fat content. I've used it in scrambles, pasta dishes (with my protein pasta, of course!), and even sliced it up for a quick and easy sheet pan dinner with veggies.
