Let it be

... Read moreIn my experience working with students, I've found that some truly flourish when they are given the freedom to approach their work in their own way and at their own pace. The key is not to micromanage or constantly intervene but to provide a reliable presence that students can turn to when they do need assistance. This approach respects the individuality of each learner. Some students feel more confident and motivated when they know they can explore and discover independently, rather than feeling pressured by constant oversight or rigid structures. An important part of this method is clear communication. Setting expectations that you are available when questions arise, but that they are encouraged to try first on their own, helps students build critical thinking and problem-solving skills. It also fosters a sense of responsibility and self-efficacy. Providing a supportive environment where students feel safe to make mistakes without immediate correction encourages resilience and growth mindset. For example, allowing time for reflection and self-assessment can enhance their learning experience. Integrating this mindset into teaching practices requires patience and trust. It's about balancing guidance with autonomy, creating a dynamic where students feel empowered yet supported. Ultimately, 'letting it be' is not about disengagement but a conscious strategy to nurture learners’ independence while assuring them that help is always within reach. This balance can lead to improved confidence, motivation, and academic success.

iOS 18! Let’s talk about it!
Every time there’s a new iOS, it does something to my little heart, I start planning in my head how I’m going to use new features to help me not only become more productive at my job or tasks, but also become a better me. I’ll be adding how I plan to use these features at work and or better myself.
