I probably shouldn't tell you this, but I can read a bid list before recruitment even starts, and this year I proved it to myself.

That means you have real influence over that narrative by crafting your application carefully, presenting your best qualities, and being consistent in your representation across all materials. Ultimately, understanding that recruitment is more about compatibility and long-term fit than last-minute impressions helped me advise others. Preparation through your application and genuine self-presentation can put you on the list before the recruitment day even kicks off.
