To get them creamy and smooth, I like to boil the potatoes until they're just tender, then mash them with butter, cream, and a touch of salt and pepper for balance. Adding roasted garlic or chives can bring an extra layer of flavor. Pairing the chicken and mashed potatoes with fresh green beans and a colorful salad introduces refreshing textures and nutrients. Lightly steaming the green beans keeps them crisp-tender and vibrant, ideal for a birthday feast. For dessert, homemade cakes and banana bread bring that comforting, personal touch that store-bought desserts can't match. Banana bread is a great way to use ripe bananas and can be customized with nuts or chocolate chips. Icing the cake or topping banana bread with cream cheese frosting elevates the dessert presentation. Overall, combining air fryer chicken, traditional homemade sides, and baked desserts creates a well-rounded and heartfelt birthday meal.
