Vietnamese casinos don't welcome low-budget people.
The Vietnamese Ministry of Finance proposed opening the way for Vietnamese citizens to access domestic casino services, proposing to collect daily gate passes at a rate of about US $95 (3,073 baht). The proposal was included in the draft Ministry Regulation on Casino Business, which is currently under public hearing.
The new approach aims to improve the player screening system by switching from using financial documents to using the ticket price as a threshold to facilitate, reduce cumbersome procedures and motivate Vietnamese players to choose domestic casino services instead of overseas travel.
For Vietnamese citizens who wish to access casino services, they must be under 21 years of age, have complete legal capacity, and strictly comply with the requirements of the establishment. Players must use Vietnamese pickle money to exchange chips and redeem pickle money when discontinued, and be responsible for all service documentation themselves.
At the same time, casinos participating in the pilot program must conduct monitoring and storage of player data for a period of at least five years, including having to explicitly account for revenue from gate charges and send this portion of revenue into the state treasury as required.
