The geopolitics and security expert, Professor Panithan Vasanayakorn, spoke about the next potential scene of the Thai-Cambodian conflict and questioned whether Thai leaders realized that we were at war.

1. Professor Mara Karlin of Johns Hopkins University, U.S.A., states that the new era of Comprehensive Conflict began in 2022 when Russia launched the invasion of Ukraine, a return to Total War, similar to the previous major wars.
2. Comprehensive or all-round warfare currently means the mobilization of resources or forces in all areas, such as weapons, manpower, money, social power, alliances and international forces, to be used in battle. Leaders will give the highest priority in this regard to other activities and will attack all enemy targets at any given opportunity, but will use modern technology and an open free market as an advantage to fight bigger or stronger countries.
3. The example of Ukraine being able to stand up to Russia for more than three years, or of several armed groups in the Middle East that can knock down multiple governments, or fight Israel is unlikely to end simply, or of the Iranian-backed Red Sea Houthi group, can threaten the modern task force of all nations, not even the United States or Western nations with much superior potential. All of these are examples of a changing, connected, complex and longer-lasting war in this era.
4. The Cambodian army, or the armed forces along the Thai-Mianma border, or even the insurgents in the three southern border provinces (JT), would have taken the same course to fight Thailand, which would have turned the same conflict around the house and along our border into a protracted and prolonged war, and it would all be up to the leaders of Cambodia or the groups to maintain their intentions for the war against Thailand.
5. In Thailand, fundamentally and potently, there is an advantage over almost every neighbour or militia along the border or insurgency group in the SEC, but many parties still wonder why they cannot overcome or reduce the disadvantage in the actual battlefield.
The answer is how much the Thai leaders, or those responsible for this, understand modern conflicts or comprehensive wars, and most importantly, do our leaders really realize that "We are at war" because if they understand that the country is at war, they can lead us to peace or peace, because "War and Peace" is the same, only on the other side of the coin.
