Donate temples will be transparent, verifiable and reduce corruption.
The IRS announced the adjustment of the donation system to implement the tax deduction. From January 1, 2026 onwards, donors to accredited foundations, associations, or charities must operate only through the e-Donation system to be able to use the tax deduction.
IRS Director General Pin Sai Suraswati has revealed that this adjustment is part of a drive to digital government to increase transparency, reduce the burden of filing documents and prevent corruption from issuing traditional certificates.
Measurements and organizations that do not enter the e-Donation system must register with the Area Revenue Office and participating banks to prepare before the New Year. Without the QR Code for the donation scan, donors cannot use the tax deduction.
Donations through the bank application will send information directly into the IRS D-MyTax system. Donors do not need to collect evidence themselves and can be conveniently retroactively verified through My Tax Account.
There are currently seven e-Donation banks: Bangkok, Bangkok, Khok Thai, Thai Commercial, TMB Thanshat, Mizuho, and Savings Bank. Other banks are available gradually.
Interested parties can inquire at each bank, or visit the IRS website.
