Sand to the left, sand to the right
White Sands National Park, established in 2019, is one of the newest parks in the system. The 228 square mile park is surrounded my the White Sands Missile Range and at times due to this, is closed for missile testing.
The sand is a gypsum that was carried down from the mountains from wind a rain. White Sands National Park #nationalparks #hiking #newmexico
