Everything Shower Routine That Glows ✨

#everythingshowerroutine #lemon8challenge

If you’re going to do an everything shower… do it properly.

This is my full routine, from dry brushing to oil layering, and how I get smooth skin, glossy hair, and that “you smell expensive” finish.♥️

BEFORE I GET IN THE SHOWER ✨

1. Dry Brushing

I always dry brush before turning the water on. This helps stimulate circulation, support lymphatic drainage, and gently exfoliate dead skin. It also preps the skin so products absorb better later.

2. Cellulite Massage (With Oil)

Before stepping in, I use a cellulite massager with a cellulite oil. This helps boost circulation and allows the oil to really penetrate the skin. It’s not about “erasing” anything, it’s about smoothing, stimulating, and supporting skin texture over time.

3. Coffee Scrub (In the Shower)

Once I’m in the shower, I go in with a coffee scrub for deep exfoliation. The caffeine helps temporarily tighten and smooth the skin while removing dead skin buildup.

Oil massage first → Coffee scrub after = smoother finish.

IN THE SHOWER: BODY CLEANSING ROUTINE 🫧

After exfoliating and shaving, I follow my layered cleanse method⬇️

My 3-Step Cleanse for the Ultimate Everything Shower 🚿

🫧 Step 1: Glow Reset

After shaving + exfoliating, I go in with the Naturium Glycolic Acid Body Wash. This is what gives me that smooth, lit-from-within glow. It lightly resurfaces and makes my skin feel insanely soft.

🧴 Step 2: Hydrate + Balance

While I’m deep conditioning and doing my hair, I cleanse again with the CHI Aloe + Hyaluronic Acid Body Wash. Super hydrating, gentle, and keeps my skin from feeling stripped.

✨ Step 3: Seal It In

Final step before stepping out? L’Occitane Almond Shower Oil. I lather this all over to lock in moisture and leave my skin silky, glossy, and smelling warm and luxe.

Soft skin > everything.

HAIR ROUTINE: SHINE + SCALP RESET ✨

Order matters ⬇️

Shampoo → Hair Mask → Condition

I always mask AFTER shampoo so it penetrates properly. Then I condition to seal everything in. This is how I get glossy, healthy-looking hair.

While hair masking, I also,

• Exfoliate my face

• Apply a face mask (post shower)

Everything shower = full reset.

POST-SHOWER: MY OIL LAYERING RITUAL ✨

This is where the magic happens.

After Shave Oil (for shaved areas)

→ Prevents irritation + adds hydration

Almond Body Oil

→ Softens + seals in moisture

French Perfumed Body Oil (pulse points only)

→ Wrists, neck, behind knees

Layering oils makes the scent last longer than body spray alone.

Soothe. Seal. Scent.

FOOT CARE (Non-Negotiable) 👣

In the shower I exfoliate my heels and scrub thoroughly.

After the shower,

• Apply foot cream

• Seal with Vaseline

Exfoliate → Moisturize → Seal

That’s how you keep baby-soft feet year-round.

Why This Routine Works

✔ Layered exfoliation removes buildup

✔ Multiple cleanses balance + hydrate

✔ Oils seal moisture + amplify fragrance

✔ Proper hair masking boosts shine

✔ Sealing feet prevents dryness

It’s intentional.

It’s layered.

It’s a full-body reset.

This isn’t just hygiene, it’s maintenance.😉🥰

... Read moreIntegrating a thorough shower routine like this transforms daily hygiene into a luxurious self-care ritual that benefits both skin and hair health. Starting with dry brushing outside the shower is a game-changer — it feels invigorating and helps stimulate blood flow and lymphatic drainage, which can reduce puffiness and improve skin texture over time. Pairing that with a cellulite massage using oil not only feels relaxing but also helps oils absorb deeply, promoting skin elasticity and smoothness without expecting instant results. Using a coffee scrub in the shower is a refreshing way to exfoliate. The caffeine has a temporary tightening effect, reducing the appearance of cellulite and leaving skin silky smooth. The order of applying oil before the scrub is crucial; it softens the skin and makes exfoliation less harsh. I also found that switching between two body washes during the shower — one for resurfacing with glycolic acid, and another that hydrates with aloe and hyaluronic acid — creates a balanced cleanse, preventing dryness while promoting a radiant glow. For hair care, shampooing before masking is critical to remove buildup and allow the mask’s nourishing ingredients, like argan oil, to penetrate fully. Conditioning afterward seals in the treatment, leaving hair glossy and healthy. Incorporating scalp massage during this time enhances circulation and hair health. While my hair mask works its magic, applying a face mask post-shower maximizes skincare benefits, making the entire routine a full reset for body and face alike. Oil layering after drying off adds another level of luxury and effectiveness. Using an after-shave oil on shaved areas prevents irritation and hydrates sensitive skin. Following this with almond body oil locks in moisture, and a French perfumed body oil concentrated on pulse points extends the scent's longevity. I've noticed this last step makes me smell effortlessly sophisticated throughout the day. Foot care is often overlooked, but it’s important for complete skin health. Exfoliating heels in the shower followed by moisturizing with foot cream and sealing with Vaseline keeps feet soft and crack-free year-round. This routine’s layered approach mirrors professional spa treatments and can be adapted to suit individual skin needs, making it a sustainable and indulgent ritual that promotes glowing skin and luscious hair consistently.

The lighting in this is literal goals! 🕊️ I’ve been trying to capture my own routine with my Sony and it’s so much fun once you get that 'airy' look down. There is something so therapeutic about editing a clean routine like this. ✨
