🎃👻 Halloween Is My Season, Boo! 👻🎃
Okay, let’s get one thing straight—Halloween isn’t just a holiday in my house, it’s a lifestyle. 😈 When we lived back in our old neighborhood in New York City, we went all out. I’m talking lights, fog machines, music, creepy decor, and the most elaborate costumes you could imagine. My husband? He was always Michael Myers—standing outside perfectly still until the kids got close enough to scream. 😂 Our dogs would bark, the kids would jump, and honestly… we were one of those houses. You know, the ones everyone both loved and feared to visit.
Now that we’re in South Jersey—aka farm country 🌾—Halloween hits a little different. No more city sidewalks filled with trick-or-treaters, but now it’s all about corn mazes, haunted penitentiaries, and small-town spooky charm. It’s become a different kind of magic, but it’s still my favorite time of year. Honestly, I love Halloween more than my own birthday. (And that’s saying something. 💅🏽)
But beyond the fun and the scares, this season is deeply sacred for me. As someone who works closely with the ancestors, October feels like the time when the veil is thinnest, when we can truly feel their presence and honor their guidance. This whole period—from September 1st through December 31st—is shedding season, a time of release, rebirth, and remembrance.
So for my fellow spooky souls who also feel called to connect deeper—
✨ I have a pre-recorded guided meditation to meet an ancestor.
✨ A webinar: “Ancestors Among Us” for learning how to connect on your own.
✨ And for those ready to go all in, you can join my private membership — I Am the Altar or book a free discovery call to see which program or service fits your journey best.
Just remember — always follow your intuition when working with any spiritual advisor, even if that means it’s not me. 🖤
So here’s to the season of shadows, spirit, and transformation — and a few Halloween photo dumps from my favorite holiday of the year! 🕯️🦇🎃

Halloween is truly a unique season that blends festive celebration with deep spiritual significance for many. Beyond costumes and candy, this time offers a rare opportunity to connect with ancestors and embrace transformation, especially as we move through shedding season from early September to the end of December. The fall season symbolizes release and renewal, inviting us to honor those who came before us while opening ourselves to growth. The concept of the veil being thin in October is rooted in many traditions, suggesting that this is when the physical and spiritual worlds are closest. Participating in meditations designed to meet ancestors can be a powerful way to experience this connection firsthand. It bridges the past and present and can offer guidance, comfort, or clarity. For those drawn to these ancestral practices, taking part in webinars like “Ancestors Among Us” can deepen your understanding and skills for independent spiritual work. Joining supportive communities or memberships such as "I Am the Altar" provides ongoing resources and a safe space to explore your journey collectively with like-minded individuals. The imagery captured in the post referencing "Eye of Potato," "Ear of Corn," and "Head of Lettuce" hints at symbolic elements that might represent components of witchy or ancestral magic practices, possibly used in rituals or offerings. These natural symbols often hold meaning within vegan witchcraft and similar earth-focused spiritualities, blending reverence for nature with ancestral honoring. Whether you live in the bustle of a city or the quiet charm of farm country, Halloween and the fall season beckon us all to celebrate, reflect, and transform. Embrace the season’s spooky vibes, shed what no longer serves you, and allow ancestral wisdom to guide your spiritual journey through these magical months.
