Content Creator Struggles

One of the biggest challenges I face as a content creator? Not the filming, not the photos, but… actually posting it! 🫣

If you’re like me, you probably have tons of great content just sitting in your camera roll, waiting to see the light of day. I love capturing moments, but the work really begins once the camera stops rolling—editing, writing captions, choosing hashtags, and making it all look seamless on the feed. It’s honestly a whole other process that takes twice as long as creating the content itself.

Recently, I made a commitment to take my social media game more seriously. I want to be more consistent, so I’ve started creating content calendars to keep me on track. I plan out my posts in advance, including ideas for captions and hashtags, so I’m not stuck scrambling last minute (and giving myself excuses not to post 🙈).

My goal is to put out at least one TikTok or reel a day. It’s challenging, and it definitely pushes me, but I know that consistency is key if I want to grow and reach more people. It’s a work in progress, and I’m learning more every day. But I’m excited to keep showing up and sharing a bit of my world with you all—one post at a time! ✨ 🌟Any tips you have on what helps you stay consistent ?

... Read moreI totally relate to that feeling of having a camera roll bursting with amazing "Taking Photos & Recording Content" but then finding yourself stuck when it comes to "posting it." It's a common "content creator struggle" that many of us face. While the original post touched on content calendars, let's dive deeper into some actionable strategies for "overcoming content planning struggles" and the "challenges of consistent blogging for content creators" (even if it's not strictly blogging, the principles apply to all platforms!). Beyond just planning topics, think about your content calendar as your strategic roadmap. I found it incredibly helpful to not just list themes, but to actually mock up captions, identify key hashtags, and even pre-select potential audio or aesthetics for video content. Tools like Trello, Notion, or even a simple spreadsheet can be game-changers. I usually plan a week or two in advance. This means when it's time to post, half the mental load is already lifted. It transforms the daunting task of 'what to post today?' into a simple 'execute today's plan!' Once your content is "Taking Photos & Recording Content," the next hurdle is getting it out there. One tip I swear by is batch editing. Instead of editing each piece individually right before posting, dedicate a block of time once or twice a week to edit all your photos or videos. Similarly, create a bank of versatile captions and call-to-actions. You can tweak them for specific posts, but having a starting point saves immense time. Don't forget to research and save relevant hashtag sets beforehand using tools like Flick or even Instagram's suggestions. This seriously reduces the decision fatigue when you're ready for "posting it." Another "content creator struggle" often stems from perfectionism. We want every piece of "Recording Content" to be flawless. But sometimes, done is better than perfect. I've learned to set a 'good enough' standard. It doesn't mean sacrificing quality, but it means recognizing when a piece is ready to go, rather than endlessly tweaking. For true consistency, especially with "challenges of consistent blogging for content creators" or daily reels, setting realistic goals is key. If daily feels too much, start with three times a week. The goal is to build momentum. Remember, every post, even if it feels small, contributes to your overall growth. Find an accountability partner or join a creator community to stay motivated. It's all part of "overcoming content planning struggles" and building a sustainable content habit. To further ease the burden of "posting it" consistently, consider repurposing your existing "Taking Photos & Recording Content." A long-form video can become several short clips for TikTok/Reels, a carousel post on Instagram, or even a blog post. Don't feel like you always need brand new ideas. Reworking your best content in different formats saves time and ensures your message reaches a wider audience across various platforms. This strategy is vital for "struggling content creator" trying to maximize impact without burning out.

I’m the same way.Plus I have actually adulting things to do. I’m slowly getting there.I also used to be terrified of being in front of the camera. I have vision posted notes on my wall. And I keep a content creator journal of information and things I want to re-recorded. My attitude is more like Fk it and post. 😂

adulting and trying to be creative is the biggest struggle. I’m like yeah I can make a video but I need to put away laundry, cook, etc. what has helped me is I treat it like a job and block out time to do it. As far as being camera shy —- girl don’t stop YOU from doing what YOU want to do. You got this. 🫶🏼
