Dirty old men created the screwed up “beauty standards” in this world and it all just needs to go right back to hell where it belongs.
Your body is BEAUTIFUL in all its stages and seasons.
Your hormones change.
Your life changes.
Maybe you’ve carried/ are carrying babies💪🤍🤰MIRACULOUS.
Your body has lived and IS living. And trying to fit into recommended “allotted calories for the day” and fake “beauty standards” will leave you living as a shell of a person.
It will literally suck the life out of you. So stop listening to all the noise.
Your body changing as you move through different seasons of life isn’t you “letting yourself go.”
It’s biology.
You don’t need to spend the rest of your life trying to get back to a body that belonged to a different version of you.
Read that again❤️
From personal experience, I can say that the pressure to meet unrealistic beauty standards is overwhelming. Society often promotes a narrow definition of beauty that doesn’t reflect the natural changes our bodies go through. The truth is, your body is meant to evolve with your life’s seasons, whether that includes pregnancy, aging, or hormonal shifts. One important lesson I’ve learned is to stop fixating on past versions of myself—like my high school body—which was never meant to be permanent. Instead, I focus on nurturing my current body and respecting its needs. This approach not only improves my mental health but also helps me live more fully in the present. It's vital to recognize that comparing yourself to others or to arbitrary ideals can drain your energy and self-worth. The phrase from the image, "Honey, stop comparing yourself to your high school body. Your teenage body was never meant to be your adult body. Bodies are meant to change—it’s biology," really resonated with me. It’s a reminder that change is natural and should be embraced, not feared. In practice, this means listening to your body's signals, fueling it with nourishing foods without obsessing over calories, and allowing yourself grace during transitions. This mindset shift has helped me appreciate my body’s strength and beauty as it supports me through different life phases. Ultimately, rejecting harmful beauty standards frees you to live authentically and joyfully. Your body tells the story of your life and resilience—it deserves celebration, not criticism.
